Progressive Public Health Alliance (Australia) and KAC Communications (UK) are pleased to announce that the 9th event in the series of City Health International conferences will take place on October 3-4  2019 in Melbourne (AUS).

The aim of this conference is to examine why harm reduction policies have been applied differently in different areas of human behavior, and how a more consistent, evidence informed approach might be achieved.

Possible topics to consider when submitting abstracts:

●      The history of harm reduction and how pragmatism and concern for health and well being has addressed barriers to change

●      Effective Advocacy

●      Barriers to appropriate regulation

●      Promoting Inclusive Policies towards Stigmatized Individuals, Groups and Communities.

●      Assessing Models of Peer Education and Support

Deadline for oral and poster abstract submission is June, 30th.  

Some of the confirmed speakers include: Geoff Gallop, Fiona Patten, Alex Wodak and David Sweanor.

All participants are welcome regardless of their background. Policy makers, planners, representatives of NGOs, civil society organizations, industry representatives, academics, advocates and members of the general public will all be attending.
