The 2022 GLEPHA Marketplace of Ideas is a series of online events that will take place from 5th to 23rd September 2022. It will showcase practical and innovative programs that demonstrate the successful convergence of law enforcement and public health approaches, with a particular focus on policing and policing alternatives.
The Marketplace of Ideas will also be an opportunity to network and build alliances by bringing together practitioners, policymakers, and academics to discuss a wide range of law enforcement and public health themes and topics, including violence prevention, deflection and diversion, mental health, harm minimization, and more.
The 2022 GLEPHA Marketplace of Ideas is organized by the Global Association for Law Enforcement and Public Health (GLEPHA) as a modest alternative to the International LEPH Conference, which cannot take place in 2022.
The 2022 Marketplace of Ideas is designed as an accessible forum and opportunity for experience – what was the problem? what was tried? what was the outcome? – and for lessons learned to be shared and discussed.
To be held over 15 days, the 2022 Marketplace of Ideas will host 4 plenary sessions with expert panelists, and 6 thematic sessions showcasing a diverse range of innovative programs from around the world.
